Qualifying for the passport
PokerStars will be hosting satellite events and giving away free entry packages for five major poker tournaments. The prize package you win would be worth $13,000 and will include the buy-in for the Main event, for whichever poker series you are qualifying for, the hotel accommodation costs and cash for travel and other expenses. Main event passport satellites
To qualify for the passport, you can take part in the satellite events that PokerStars is hosting. The different satellite events you could partake in include -
Cash satellites – You can participate in these events through a cash buy-in. The range of the buy-ins is extensive and accommodates players of all stake levels.
Steps satellites – In the steps satellites, you have to buy-in to the event just once and you can make your way through to the top level by winning each of the steps or levels on the way. You can buy-in to any level you want, which means you don’t have to start at the bottom and struggle all the way to the top.
FPP satellites – The Frequent Player Points (FPP) you earn at PokerStars can also be used to buy-in to the Main Events Passport satellites. If you are a regular player at the site and have been saving the points for sometime, then now is the best time to use them and play these qualifiers without spending any more money.
Register with PokerStars
To win the main event passport packages, you should be a member of PokerStars first. If you aren’t already registered with the site, then it is time to do so. PokerStars is offering a 100% bonus on all first deposits, but up to a maximum of $600. To clear the bonus and use it for cash games on the site, you need to earn a certain number of FPPs. For every 17 FPPs you earn, $1 of your bonus would be released.
